God's Window

Up in the north of the country in Mpumalanga, on the escarpment overlooking the Lowveld, is the area called God's Window. I'm sure most countries have their own 'Windows' overlooking hills and valleys, but our South African one is truly amazing.

In my own way, I have interpreted their majesty! I hope you think I've done them justice.

Hello to you out in South Africa and greetings from Plymouth UK

I have to say I love the work I can see here on your blog - I especially like the fact that you work in different styles and mediums.

S0 why am I contacting you ?

Well as an artist hope you will appreciate the idea -

In a somewhat random act of artistic interaction I have come across your blog next to mine at this point in cyberspace and time. Have a look at my blog – I have placed a link on it for your site, for about a month - under the heading "My Dog Ate Blogs" – take a look.. If you fancy being a permanent part of this blog just say yes and I will put a permanent link for you on my site in my blog-roll “My Dog Has Eaten These Blogs and Says Yum Yum” If you have a link on my site chances are you'll be getting people from 41 different countries visiting your site - feel free to join the party, and get some additional visitors coming your way - although my guess is that you probably get lots of visitors from all over anyway.

In return all I would like is a link somewhere on your site.

Have a look and see what you think.

If you want to print out any of my images - feel free - some are quite nice ( I hope) – just tell your friends where you found them.

Hope you find my site interesting as well.

Best wishes from Plymouth UK !

well, i live in Mpumalanga, and Ooh my that place is God's Window hey. Miss World was here on Sunday, and we took all of them to that windo, to tell u the truth, they all somehow felt connected with the above. That is a good place for rejuvenation. Other places include The three rondavels - now those are three mountans created next to each other and they look like rondavels. Mpumalanga is just great guyz, come and see

Hello Steve - have posted a link, hopefully in accordance with your message - let's see. Thank you for your comments - I surround myself with different mediums and articles and use whatever feels right at the time.

Di, thank you. I'm not that good with computers so tend not to comment on other people's blogs as I should, but I think you're a fantastic artist and I really appreciate your comments on my work.

Thank you Carol for your comments. You are so lucky to able to visit those really beautiful parts of the country - those vistas that go on forever. Lovely. I haven't been there for some time now. Maybe another visit is due and those 3 Rondavels put on canvas!

Love your work - particularly "God's Window, 1". Admire you for trying different mediums. I have a set of acrylics and pastels and have yet to try them. Loved the baobab tree also. Miss SA scenery.
